Most Active Village!

Walsham le Willows proudly celebrated being named the “Most Active Village 2025” during an official unveiling ceremony held on Sunday at the Sports Club. The event was attended by around 60 residents, who enjoyed a buffet and reception drinks generously provided by the club.
Adrian Ramsay, the local Green MP, unveiled the commemorative plaque and engaged with attendees in a lively Q&A session. The award recognises the collective efforts of the village’s many organisations that promote health, well-being, and an active lifestyle.
Key contributors to the village’s vibrancy include the Wild Wood, Memorial Hall, Priory Rooms, children’s play area, the allotments, Sports Club, and the village gym—all of which provide inclusive opportunities for residents of all ages to stay active and connected.
Ian Campbell, Club Treasurer and lifelong Sports Club member, paid tribute to the volunteers who form the backbone of the village’s active spirit. “This award reflects the dedication of so many individuals who make it possible for everyone to take part in the rich variety of activities our village offers,” he said..
