Junior Cricket Update

The cricket club is not just about the senior teams, we also have a thriving junior section with age group teams starting U9s and running all the way though to U19s. Coach Adam Howe gave us a rundown of this week’s activity.

The U11s started off the week beating Bardwell away. Albie 47* from 18 helped Walsham post 133 off 18 overs. Kasper Howling then bowled 2 overs 1 for 6 to restrict Bardwell to 94 off their 18 overs.
On Tuesday night the U13s also beat Bardwell, this time at Walsham. Elodie Brown bowled 2 overs 1 for 5 in a great spell. Bardwell scored 128 in 18 overs. In response Louis Philmister top scored with 17 not out of 15 balls to see Walsham win by one run.
The U9s meanwhile played their first softball match of the season against Nowton. Eric Grime bowling 2 overs 2-2. Nowton won but lots of positives from the young ones.

The U15s will complete the Bardwell triple header on Thursday evening with a home game and there will be another busy Friday night training session for all age groups, including All Stars and Dynamos.
