Walking Football
About us
Here at Walsham Le Willows Sports Club, we hold four sessions of football for the older person; covering all levels of ability, fitness and gender.
All of our sessions are played on a well maintained 3g pitch, so not too bad on those ageing joints. Just turn up and play. Open to male and female players, everybody is welcome. Tea and coffee are served after the Tuesday and Thursday sessions.
Cost £3.00 per session. All we ask is for everyone to respect each player’s skill and fitness level. The age range is only a guide, all ages are welcome regardless of fitness or ability.
Mondays 8 – 9pm
Senior football started out as walking football but as the player’s fitness has improved, the session has evolved to a slightly faster pace, where jogging is commonplace and even the occasional run!
Age Range: 40 to 65yrs
Tuesdays 1 – 2pm
As the Senior football has evolved to a faster and more competitive pace, we have introduced our newest session where it is strictly WALKING ONLY, keeping the ball below head height and no challenging goalkeepers. This session is ideal for complete beginners, those returning to football, or players from other sessions returning after lay-offs, illness or injury.
Age Range: 50 to 80+yrs.
