New Year, New Beginnings

Christmas is in the rear view mirror and 2025 has begun, which means the Cricket Section is now counting down to the start of the new season.

Before the on field action gets underway, there is some big news off the field with the appointment of Kings Lynn based building firm Walker Construction Services as our Title Sponsor for the new season.

Walker Construction Services Limited is a family run business, founded with the purpose of providing a comprehensive and professional construction service across industrial, commercial and residential projects. The company has recently celebrated it 20^th Anniversary and was established in King’s Lynn in 2004 as a small construction firm. It has grown to become a large and respected, local construction firm within the Norfolk area with a turnover of over £10m, across a local and national clientele base and maintain the same business ethos throughout.

Speaking of new sponsors, individual players are now available to sponsor for the upcoming season. A player sponsorship costs £50 + VAT and your logo or name will appear in our social media posts every time the sponsored player reaches a personal playing milestone (100s, 5fers) or the sponsored player is our featured player of the week. On the playing front, we are now just 5 weeks away from our first winter training session, so the less flexible among us should start warming up ASAP. These sessions will be held weekly on Thursday Evenings at 7pm, starting on the 6th February at Bury St Edmunds CC. If you are exceptionally forward looking, you might like to head over to our Play Cricket site where you can find details of all our league fixtures for the upcoming season. Whilst you’re thinking about putting dates in the diary, mark Friday 14th March as the day for our Annual Club Dinner which will be held at the Sports Club. Finer details will follow closer to the time.
